To Respect or Tolerate?
Hotep, Islam, Shalom, Greetings Family:
It is said, that nature invariably is the best teacher of life! If you watch and study the simplicity of nature, you'll see how in our ignorance, the ways in which we overly complicate things. One of these aspects, is confusing tolerance for respect! Let's get into the lesson of the day:
In my town, we have bands of wild drain/sewer cats, that have gone unchecked --for some time now-- in a neighborhood full of dog owners! The reason they've gone unchecked, is because the Animal Control folks are cat lovers, for starters! Second, the town legislation is more fearful of dogs, so the ordinances are against homes with dogs. Pretty much, dogs must always be leashed and/or muzzled if known to snap/bite; fenced in physically or via electronic fence. Now, check this out! The bands of cats have now become legions of terror, killing off the needed wildlife in the ecosystem! Keep in mind, these cats aren't natural to this ecosystem, but mere house pets gone wild. To make matters worse, there's an ever increasing growth of insects-- straight bug pestilence! There are not enough birds around to balance off the bugs! So, now the town is having talks about starting a chemical regiment to cut down on the bugs! A great example of the "Philip's Law", the continuous promotion of incompetence, into positions of leadership, management and power!
These cats are so bold now, they walk straight up to fences with dogs barking at them, tearing and growling behind fences; to reach a nice meal in a bird house! Those cats, straight lost respect for the dogs in the town --and probably anywhere else beyond their zone. Now, the dogs are lay, barking sometimes, putting on a good show, but know they have to tolerate these damn cats; due in direct result of their owner's subjugation to social law!
One morning, I got up to my dogs barking like crazy. I looked through the window, just to see a caravan of cats walking along my fenced property line! I let my boys outback, but that didn't stem nor phase the procession. My neighbor, just installed an electronic fence, but I guess it wasn't operational that morning --yeah right!-- and they released their dogs!
NOTE: For all you cat lovers, I'd stop reading from this point
Call me an accessory to natural order, but those cat had it all coming to them! My neighbor's dogs had a vendetta against the invaders --as did all the dogs in the town--, and they targeted the 1st and 2nd ranked cats, exclusively! Mauling is not even a word I can use to describe this carnage. They even allowed a few partial survivors to skat away! You'd have thought you were watching a redo of Hannibal and forces storming onto Rome -- animal style! More directly, it was like Toussaint L'Ouverture, defeating Napoleon's French army in Haiti/Hispaniola! Until this day, you would be shocked to see any more cat come near these parts! Order and Respect has been restored!
The morale of the story, as nature beautifully displayed above: If something or someone is being tolerated, it's only a matter of time, before the true nature of the relationship or arrangement rears its face. In many cases, it will revolve to a points of balance, after devolving from errant levels of disrespect! Respect, just is respect, no matter the overtone of the social construct or ignorant mind. Respect doesn't need anything more do define its innate principle! We tend to learn, love and live in tolerance by the prescription of others. Neither side, identifying with the immoral or unnatural state of tolerance they live, will ever be in balance. This story applies to many historic, social, cultural and economic depictions --read in between the lines. Having respect, is knowing the order by which something exist; its purpose in being and the connection it has to you! The emotional and physical stresses, come from being out of balance, stemming from constructs of disrespect of self first! When we all learn to live in respect of ourselves and each other . . . my, my . . . what a wonderful world it would be!
Keep inspired to help yourself and others stand for something worthwhile. Read more and learn more, to make the world a better place. . .Substance people, substance!
I'm not surprised the movie, Underworld 3, didn't do well at the box offices. The race, cultural and class undertones are too heavy for the power paradigm to ingest . . .retribution is a bitch! See the movie definitely, but peep the trailer in the meantime: Underworld 3 Trailer

I'm a cat owner, but you're absolutely correct. The basic issue is that people are very afraid of dogs and view cats as docile. That's not always the case and birds do suffer tremendously.
Unfortunately people are letting their emotion override their common sense.

No doubt Ty! It's all about the principle of the matter. When things are left unchecked too long, things are bound to erupt --man or beast the same. Funny thing is, I had no issues with cats until I moved to where am at. It shows how someone's environment can become a deterministic factor in their psyche. So, you don't go abandoning your cats now, turning them feral-- all jokes! Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated!
